Meet Kelly

Couples and Family Counsellor | Lunenburg, NS

(And Beyond! Nova Scotia & Ontario Therapy)

A woman with blonde hair smiling and resting her face on her hand, sitting in a cozy room with white wooden panel walls, wearing a white sweater and ripped jeans, with white flowers in a vase nearby.

You’re probably wondering right now “will this actually make me feel better?”

The pain of finding a therapist who gets you is real. But it takes what feels like a magical unicorn of a counsellor who you both really like AND one who can help you make whatever changes are needed to feel like the happiest and healthiest version of yourself.

I get it, I have been there.

I'm Kelly, RCT-C/ RP (Qualifying), a relationship therapist in Lunenburg, NS who works with people who are done telling themselves this is the best they’re going to get.

About Me

A woman in a red coat and black boots being interviewed on the sidewalk by a camera operator. A police vehicle with 'Breaking News' signage is parked behind her. Residential houses are visible in the background during fall.
Two people standing on the front steps of a white house decorated with Halloween pumpkins. The house has a blue door, white siding, and dormer windows with black roofs. The man is on the stairs, looking to the side, while the woman is smiling, talking on a cell phone, and standing on the grass. Autumn foliage surrounds the scene.
Family sitting at a wooden dining table in a room with white paneled walls and bookshelves. A woman holds a baby, a man reads a book, and two young girls sit at the table with mugs.

For 10 years, I was a TV reporter and anchor, working all over the country, (whilst also going through a divorce in my 20’s), before ending up in Toronto. (Or so I thought). I met my now-husband and during Covid, we left the big city for seaside life in Lunenburg, NS, had three kids in five years (send help) and are now slowly fixing up our rambling old house together.

I also went back to school, earned my Masters and then opened my own private practice. Working with couples and families is not for a lot of therapists but I absolutely love it because there is so much on the line and so many gains to make.

I’m an optimist and don’t take myself too seriously but I take what I do very seriously. I’m always in a training, reading a book or seeking supervision to be the best therapist I can be. ( I am currently in two courses and have three supervisors.)
